Monster High dolls !

So I've found my new obsession (for the moment anyway) and it's these dolls! I got two of them for Christmas and it was a complete surprise especially since I've been flipping out over them since those little commercials for them started to air. But I figured I wouldn't get them unless I bought them myself since my parents say I'm too old for dolls. Well let me just say, these dolls are incredible! They're so pose-able and the design and attention to the little details in their faces and clothes is amazing. They are a bit pricey but you can get them for a fairly decent price at certain stores and online on amazon.com.

I've always had a little thing for dolls but these make all other dolls look like crap in my opinion. I plan to collect many more but I'm definitely addicted to these cute but creepy little dolls. I like to pose them on top of one of the shelves overlooking my bedroom. It's weird but I feel like they're watching me in a kooky, protective kind-of way and I am totally okay with that.

The Amazing Spiderman: Amazing or Not?

Well, I can say that after watching this movie, I’ve decided to get bitten by a radioactive spider.

I really did like this movie. I know that a lot of people gave it a bit of a bad rep and I think that it’s a little unfair.  I really liked the previous Spiderman movies so when the mention of this new one came about I was generally excited.  At first, I thought that I would be a bit bummed that Toby Maguire wouldn’t be playing the role of Peter Parker but I was also eager to see who would be the new face of Peter Parker.
Now I admit that when the movie first started, I didn’t care much for, Andrew Garfield, the guy who now plays Peter Parker. I’m not sure why, but there was just something about him that bothered me. In fact, not even half way into the movie did I like him any better. I have to applaud the fact that he did have Spiderman’s personality down to a T. I loved the playful, comical attitude that felt either forced or absent all together with the previous Peter Parker played by Maguire.  However, by the time the time the end credits rolled around, he had definitely grown on me and I’m looking forward to the next installment with Garfield. Speaking of actors and the roles they play, I loved Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. Honestly, I don’t know much about Gwen from the comic books other than she was a love interest. I just love Emma Stone in general so I may be a bit biased but her performance was great. She was funny, cute, clever, charismatic, and smart and I enjoyed every moment she was on screen. I didn’t care much about the other characters or actors who played them which I know sounds shallow but I just couldn’t get that into them.
All of Spiderman’s powers and abilities were cool too. I liked his acrobatic abilities; they were really fun and exciting to watch. The fight scenes were pretty good too even though it was a bit disappointing how unless Spidey was going against your average car thief or mugger, he seemed pretty weak and susceptible to getting his ass kicked.
There was a scene where he descended into the sewer to fight The Lizard and he makes a large web which I thought was pretty frickin cool.
The only complaint I have about “Spiderman” was that he needed a mechanism that he made himself to shoot his webs which technically weren’t really even his; they were artificial webs that OSCORP had created and used. I thought this was pretty bogus considering he IS Spiderman. The fact that he has his own webs that he can create and shoot only makes sense since his name implies that. Even though I know that this is more accurate according to the comic books it still bugs the hell out of me; I really missed that aspect that was in the previous Spiderman movies. Last time I checked, spiders didn’t have a little device they use to make their webs and if Spiderman’s little web-shooting devices get smashed or wet (like they did in the movie) then he’s pretty much screwed because other than his webs, he wasn’t as impressive.
So all in all, I’d give this movie 4.5 out of 5.Looks like the Amazing Spiderman is pretty amazing.  Honestly those stupid web-shooters really killed it for me. That and the fact that some of Spidey’s fighting skills were slightly lacking and even that I could have easily overlooked because his web-shooting skills were so impressive.
Well, that’s all I got-I’m done rattling on about a movie you probably don’t care to read my opinions about.  Later.

This is it

tom-boy (noun) : a girl who behaves in a manner usually considered boyish

If you're reading this than you must care what 'the Tomboy Life' is. This isn't the generalization of what every tomboy is like or that to be one you have to be EXACTLY. LIKE. THIS. 'Cause you don't. This is really just what my life as a tomboy is like. All the random things that strike me as interesting or worth making a crappy post about, the things I think about and maybe, possibly, awkwardly feel. Yep. This is basically a crap shoot.
